About Our Chambers

The chambers of Sardar Muhammad Aslam Law Associates (SMALA) were established in 1973 under the visionary leadership of our founding Head of Chambers, the late Mr. Justice (R) Sardar Muhammad Aslam.

Rooted deeply in his profound commitment to the legal profession, SMALA has undergone remarkable growth over the years and has evolved into one of the most well- established and regarded sets of chambers in the country, with strong foundations in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore. We deliver legal services across a wide-ranging arena of practice, providing strategic advice and robust representation to a diverse clientele that includes both the public and private sector.

SMALA’s identity is rooted in a culture defined by dedication, uncompromising professionalism, and integrity. These are not merely ideals but the practical bedrock of our daily practice, which have secured for SMALA an inimitable standing within the legal fraternity.

A distinctive hallmark of our chambers is its role as a premier nurturer of legal talent. SMALA has been a formative institution for the profession, with hundreds of lawyers having been associated with the practice. While the majority of our alumni have founded their own successful practices, some have advanced to serve with distinction as state counsels, judicial officers, and public office holders, carrying with them the ethos and values that they imbibed at SMALA.

We remain rooted to the founding vision, which stands as a testament to our sustained principles and our pledge to continue upholding the highest professional and ethical standards of this calling.
